Biography
Dr. Herberg is a local originally from Fairfax Virginia. He completed his undergraduate education from UNC Greensboro with honors. He completed medical school at the University of Virginia where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society which recognizes exemplary conduct of compassionate care. He then pursued anesthesiology residency in Birmingham, AL at UAB. Dr. Herberg then completed additional fellowship training with a comprehensive pain and spine medicine fellowship at Wake Forest.
During his fellowship he gained expertise in treating painful musculoskeletal conditions throughout the body with an emphasis on neck and back pain. His practice utilizes a multitude of minimally invasive needle-based techniques as well as non-opioid analgesics to treat painful conditions. His goal is to utilize patient centered care to help improve his patient’s quality of life.
In his free time, Dr. Herberg enjoys gardening, weightlifting, swimming, and spending time with his wife, son, and dogs.
