Feb 10, 2020- The United States Women’s National Soccer Team, assisted by our own Dr. Sameer Nagda successfully won the CONCACAF 2020 Olympic Qualifying Tournament with a victory over the Canadian National Team in the final. Both teams will qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Dr. Nagda sat on the team bench and served as team physician during the qualifying tournament. “It’s an honor to be a part of this team and exciting to qualify for the 2020 Olympics!”
The team now has several months to prepare knowing they will have their hands full in Tokyo. No team has ever won the FIFA Women’s World Cup and the Olympic Gold Medal in successive years. “We are most certainly aware of this fact. I think everyone associated with this team is motivated to bring home the Gold!
