Martelle S. Blaine, PA-C
Martelle is a board-certified physician assistant who works with Dr. Oliver Schipper. She graduated from Mercy College in 2019 with a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies. Martelle has always had a passion for orthopedics and sports medicine which she mainly attributes to her lifelong participation in sports, most recently as a Division 1 lacrosse player at the University of Richmond. Martelle grew up in Connecticut and was a two time All-American in swimming and lacrosse at Greenwich High School.
Martelle received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Richmond in 2010. After working in private equity for 5 years, Martelle decided to revisit her passion for medicine and become a Physician Assistant.
She is a current member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery (PAOS). While at Mercy College, Martelle spearheaded a medical mission to The Gambia in Africa as she has a passion for international medicine and giving back to underserved communities when she can. Outside of work, Martelle enjoys traveling with her husband as well as biking, running and exploring new cities.
