Dr. Hamilton presents at The Knee Society Meeting

Category: News

Dr. Bill Hamilton just returned from the annual Knee Society Members Meeting. The mission of the Knee Society is to promote outstanding care to patients with knee disorders through innovative research and education. Membership is by invitation only and the Society consists of the most prominent knee specialists in the world. As a recently-inducted member, Dr. Hamilton was honored to present research that examined the outcome of joint replacements performed at the Anderson Clinic over a 10-year period. Dr. Hamilton’s study specifically looked for differences in outcome among cases that were done consecutively in the same operating room and those that were done in different operating rooms (sometimes called overlapping surgeries).  This is currently a hot topic in joint replacement surgery and the Anderson Orthopaedic Institute is proud to be involved in this research.

This year’s meeting was held in the hometown of the current society President, Dr. Adolph Lombardi, who was trained by our very own Dr. Jerry Engh.  Dr. Jerry previously held the position of president of this elite society of knee surgeons several years ago.
