Ryan T. Hubbard, M.D.

Expert in ultrasound guided carpal tunnel release, regenerative medicine therapies, musculoskeletal ultrasound diagnostics and interventions, joint injections, and sports medicine.

Dr. Hubbard attended medical school at the Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He then completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Andrews Institute for Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine where he treated numerous amateur, collegiate, and professional athletes while learning alongside the world renowned orthopedic surgeon, Dr. James Andrews. He specializes in performing ultrasound-guided diagnostic and interventional procedures, along with full-spectrum musculoskeletal injuries, sports medicine, regenertiave medicine, and ultrasound guided carpal tunnel release.

Dr. Hubbard has authored book chapters and published many peer-reviewed manuscripts on sports-related injuries, sports-related concussion, and regenerative medicine therapies. He has trained with the leading experts in minimally invasive ultrasound-guided procedures, and is one of few physicians in the country to receive formal training in and to offer the minimally invasive ultrasound-guided carpal tunnel release. Over the years he has been the head team physician for a variety of programs including high schools, a university, and a professional soccer team abroad. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR) and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM). He regularly presents and leads training sessions in ultrasound diagnosis of musculoskeletal injuries for other physicians at conferences across the country.

As a former college football player at Davidson College in North Carolina, Dr. Hubbard is inspired by his patients and works collaboratively with them to find the most appropriate management plan so they can continue to pursue the sports, hobbies, and activities that enrich their lives.
